Patients and Practitioners Please Click Here for Information on Better Access to Mental Health 'Mental Health Care Plan Referrals'
Fees + Rebates:
Consultations are typically 50 minutes long and the fee is $180 ($42.95 out-of-pocket after the $137.05 on-the-spot Medicare rebate is claimed). Rebates can be processed into any EFTPOS linked cheque or savings account (you must have your card on hand).
Bulk billing (no out of pocket expense) may be available if you are unemployed, on a pension, a self-funded student, or struggling financially under an appropriate Mental Health Care Plan (see 'Rebates' Below). Please check prior to the first appointment. Bulk Billed appointments only offered during normal business hours Tue - Fri .
Appointments, including bulk billed ones, that are cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will attract a $60 fee to cover costs.
For non-Medicare Patients a part of the fee may be claimable with your private health fund, depending on your health plan. It is very important that you check your entitlements with your health fund before commencing. Unfortunately, I do not have the facility to provide on-the-spot rebates for private health insurance, so you would need to make the claim yourself using the receipt I supply.
Some insurance services, such as WorkCover or CTP will be at no cost to the involve no fee to the client since I bill the relevant party directly provided prior arrangements have been made. Prior to the first session I will need written confirmation that the insurance company that treatment has been approved. If you do not have written confirmation you would need to have the case manager to email me and confirm.
Method of Payment: Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, EFTPOS
If you are disappointed with the 10-session limit please contact the Labor Health Minister, Mark Butler, and let him know. He cut sessions from 20 to 10 in 2023 and he is also responsible, as Mental Health Minister in 2011, for cutting sessions from 18 to 10, with the ludicrous reasoning that most people only use less than 10. We may as well argue most people only visit their GP three times a year, so let's limit GP visits to three each year. I thought Labor was that caring party; obviously not.
